Mindfulness Training

Mindfulness Training can be in individual sessions or in group sessions. Customized Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training is available for professional offices and small and 

mid-sized businesses. 


Mindfulness Training for  Individuals and Groups

Training is individualized to the person or couple and their lifestyle so they can move forward in their lives with a daily Mindfulness practice in each area of their lives at home and at work. Training can be basic or can include a full range of the core practices of Mindfulness Mindfulness Meditation and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

All Mindfulness students receive

  • Access to recorded guided mindfulness practice sessions to use at home and at work.
  • A copy of Duke Integrative Medicine Center's Personalized Health Plan Manual (164 pages) which provides a wealth of information on maximizing your health including information on mindfulness practice.

Group Mindfulness training fees vary depending on the focus of the group training, the length of the training (one day or multiple weeks), and the number of people enrolling.

All Mindfulness students attending group training receive 

  • Audio files of mindfulness practice sessions to use at home or at work.
  • A copy of Duke Integrative Medicine Center's Personalized Health Plan Manual (164 pages) which includes information on mindfulness practice and resources.

Mindfulness Training for 

Businesses and Health Practices

 

The training fees for group training for Mindfulness for health practices and small and mid-sized businesses is negotiated based on needs of the client and the scope of the training.  Mindfulness training for health practices and businesses is customized to needs of the health practice or the corporate mission and business needs.  


All Mindfulness training is conducted live in person at the location of your choice. Training is experiential and includes practice recordings and materials.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, Founder of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, mainstreamed mindfulness into the healthcare system through his Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program. It proved so beneficial that it is now taught widely to both patients and providers. Medical research shows this simple practice highly effective as part of a whole-health treatment plan for a wide variety of health conditions including chronic diseases and pain management.  Due to its effectiveness, Mindfulness training is mainstreaming now through all aspects of our society including our school system, the military, prisons, governments, and first responders.


I was amazed to see a Mindfulness client of mine go from an "8" to a "3" on a pain scale of zero to ten after his first five minutes of a very simple Mindfulness technique for pain management.  Mindfulness is highly effective for both patients and their families, as well as the medical staff treating them.

Mindfulness is mainstreaming in the business world because it is linked with increased ability to focus, increased creativity and productivity, and lowered health care costs. Mindfulness is an excellent method for stress reduction for highly stressed professionals.
